Job Description :
We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team full-time. This role is responsible for supporting the financial management of various projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, reporting, and reconciliation. The Project Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data related to active projects. Key responsibilities include maintaining project budgets, processing financial transactions, and providing regular reporting and analysis to support effective project management.
Ideal Candidate :
The ideal candidate will have experience in project accounting and be comfortable managing all phases of the project accounting lifecycle. While experience in a specific industry is a plus, it is not required. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across departments.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Accounting
- Manage the full scope of project accounting responsibilities.
- Input and update project budgets, including adjustments for approved changes.
- Process project-related financial transactions, including invoicing and payment tracking.
- Support financial compliance by ensuring vendors and service providers meet required documentation standards.
- Prepare reconciliations of job costs and assist with monthly financial closings.
Reporting & Financial Analysis
Provide regular project cost and financial status reports to internal stakeholders.Support the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reporting packages.Collaborate with team members to resolve accounting and reporting issues as they arise.Analyze financial data to support budget tracking and identify cost control opportunities.Qualifications :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.3-5 years of experience in a project accounting role.Strong understanding of financial systems, internal controls, and standard accounting procedures.Experience working with project managers and leadership teams.Proficiency in financial software and Excel; familiarity with cost tracking databases is a plus.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and organizational skills.
