Night shifts with 8 and 12-hour options
Rotation every third weekend and holiday.
Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , providing care for a diverse and complex patient population, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Patients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients along with medical overflow cases .As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , benefit from exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.

Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness, involving patients and families throughout the continuum of care.Recognize and respond to significant changes in patient conditions effectively and timely.Enhance patient safety through proactive strategies and education tailored to patient and family needs.Coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach and apply evidence-based practices in care delivery.Evaluate outcomes and participate in initiatives to improve processes and patient care experiences.Encourage teamwork through effective communication, conflict resolution, and delegated responsibilities.Maintain a culture of safety and participate in reporting and corrective action processes for safety concerns.Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to personal and professional development.Ensure competency in age-appropriate care by demonstrating understanding of patient growth and development through the lifespan.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Education Required :
Completion of an accredited Nursing program.Experience Required :
Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach, and twist regularly throughout the workday.Must lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist; 20 lbs. overhead; carry 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.Push / pull with 30 lbs. of force; perform sliding transfers of 150 lbs. with assistance.Position involves the use of foot pedals on carts or machines.May encounter hazardous materials and bodily fluids; protective equipment provided as necessary.Requires functional speech, vision, hearing, and tactile skills for IV insertion and other procedures.Must operate all necessary equipment for the role.This job description outlines the general nature and responsibilities expected of the incumbent.
