Job description

The Boating Specialist in Fiberglass Boat Sales is a key role within our organization. This position is responsible for effectively promoting and selling fiberglass boats to potential customers, playing a significant role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Prospecting : Identify and engage potential customers interested in purchasing fiberglass boats.
  • Customer Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing expert advice.
  • Product Knowledge : Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of fiberglass boats, including features, specifications, and benefits.
  • Sales Presentations : Deliver persuasive and informative presentations to highlight the advantages of our fiberglass boats.
  • Consultative Selling : Utilize a consultative approach to understand customer needs and recommend suitable boat options.
  • Demonstrations : Arrange and conduct boat demonstrations and sea trials.
  • Quoting and Pricing : Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for customers.
  • Negotiations : Negotiate sales terms effectively, including pricing, financing, and delivery.
  • Contract Preparation : Assist customers with sales contracts and necessary paperwork.
  • Customer Support : Provide comprehensive support throughout the sales process.
  • Sales Reporting : Maintain detailed records of sales activities and updates.
  • Market Research : Stay informed about market trends and competitor products.
  • Sales Targets : Consistently achieve and surpass sales targets and objectives.
  • Lead Generation : Generate new sales leads through various methods.
  • Customer Follow-Up : Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration : Work with sales and marketing teams on sales strategies.
  • Travel : Attend boat shows and industry events as required.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred).
  • Experience in sales, preferably in the marine or boating industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of fiberglass boats.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Customer-centric approach with excellent communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in sales software and CRM tools.
  • Flexibility for weekend work and travel.
  • Ethical sales practices.
  • Boating and marine industry knowledge is advantageous

    This is a full-time position with variable hours, including weekends and evenings based on customer demand.
