In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will handle the preparation and review of various tax returns while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and fiduciaries.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize financial outcomes for clients.
  • Stay updated on evolving tax laws and assess their impact on clients or the organization.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and provide accurate guidance to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Assist in audits and handle correspondence with federal, state, and local tax authorities.
  • Maintain detailed and organized documentation to support tax filings and audits.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver strategic tax advice and insights.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline tax preparation and increase accuracy.
  • Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks, to manage financial data and records.
  • Prepare financial statements and journal entries to support overall accounting functions.

Requirements :

  • At least 3 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting.
  • Proficiency in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Experience in creating financial statements and managing journal entries.
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and team members.
