Outpatient Cardiology Position in Florida Gulf Coast

Job Summary :

The Cardiologist is a dynamic and flexible individual who is licensed / board certified with experience in noninvasive cardiology and adult echocardiography. This professional will play a key role in providing direct patient care and assessments and be responsible for the ongoing development and quality control of ArchWell Health's echocardiography program.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Provides excellent cardiovascular care in an outpatient setting
• Management of chronic cardiovascular diseases including ordering appropriate imaging or lab tests and recommending treatment plans as indicated by patient's clinical needs
• Perform accurate interpretation of lab tests, EKG, and echocardiograms
• Participates in population management of market's members
• Assists with implementation of cost reduction strategies
• Consults with and coaches primary care providers about management of cardiovascular disease and best practices
• Reviews primary care requests for external cardiology referrals and participates in authorization with emphasis on high quality internal care providers when appropriate
• Coordination with Cardiologists and Clinical Leadership regarding managing day-to-day operations and participates in meetings for risk and quality management as well as improving clinical quality, efficiency, and patient and physician satisfaction
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives within cardiovascular department
