EvapTech is a premier cooling tower designer, manufacturer and contractor providing Research Powered Solutions for customer needs in the power generation, industrial, refrigeration and HVAC evaporative cooling markets. EvapTech offers new and replacement field erected cooling towers and a variety of cooling tower aftermarket services including replacement parts.

Role Definition :

An Engineering Technician is the technical structural 2D CAD drafting resource for providing structural engineering, product and installation information necessary to quote and execute new and reconstruction cooling tower projects.

Responsibilities :

1. Use AutoCAD 2D to generate structural installation and fabrication drawings.

2. Generate installation bills of materials.

3. Assist Engineering Supervisor in developing job approaches for meeting schedules and

cost budgets with emphasis on overall project cost reduction and innovation.

4. Assist with :

• field problem resolution
• design and development of new components
• cooling tower inspections as required

5. Interface with vendors to assure appropriate component application.

Success Criteria :

1. Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with multiple departments and

personnel.

2. Accurate and complete bills of materials.

3. Accurate and complete drawings

4. Ability to design creative, cost effective solutions for construction and repair of projects.

Minimum Qualifications :

Education, Experience, Skills required to qualify for this position)

1. 0-5 years' experience in detail drafting and application of structural, mechanical and materials

detailing and application skills.

2. Experience with AutoCAD 2D and Microsoft Excel.

3 Experience with all materials of construction including lumber, fiberglass, steel and

concrete is a plus.

5. Experience in practical construction and assembly of products.

6. Some travel may be required.
