In this position...

The Warranty Finance Manager position is critical for driving warranty accounting, budgeting and forecasting, as well as working with our partners across the business including quality, Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD), and Supply Chain to provide financial guidance and drive warranty cost improvements. In this role you will lead the warranty profit analysis, warranty coverages, and warranty supplier recovery organizations. You will have the opportunity and autonomy to respond quickly to areas of warranty that require further attention and / or a fresh perspective to drive improvement.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

• Ensure adherence to warranty rules of the road, accounting guidelines and internal controls governing warranty reserves and expenses
• Develop annual business plans and budgets, and monthly forecasts ensuring operational alignment and buy-in to warranty projections and forecasts, while driving operational warranty cost improvements
• Manage monthly and quarterly warranty close processes and quarterly external benchmarking analysis
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and success of warranty financials
• Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with senior leaders in our quality organization, FCSD, finance teams, global data and analytics, and other business units
• Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex technical warranty accounting concepts into clear, impactful insights for audiences with varying levels of warranty accounting knowledge.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, highly engaged team of warranty finance professionals, fostering a culture of strong controls, continuous improvement, innovation, and agility

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
