Dear Cat Sitter,
I have three cats, two are from the same litter and they are German domestic shorthairs, grey and mocha. One is part Mainey.
The third is a recent add-on from Petsmart, and she is not yet full grown. She is an American shorthair, grey and white, and has a meow that sounds more like a rooster crowing.
I need someone who will give pets to the cats all three really not just to feed and water them. The two older cats are water-obsessed, so several times a day,(or once if you only come once) please turn the kitchen faucet onto the lowest possible setting so that a tiny stream of water flows out. They (the cats) find this fascinating and will sit on the pass-through until you turn the water on. (Weird, I know, but this is how it is...)
One of the cats named Motte (German for "moth") is allowed to go outside in the back yard only. She does just fine on a leash, and this is probably best, as she occasionally takes a notion to go after a bird by clearing the privacy fence. We do not think this would be a good idea. If you don't take her out, she will be very disappointed, but it depends on how the two of you get along. I will tell her to be very good.
These cats love their routines, so it would be much better to have a catsitter who can come to the home rather than to board them.
Please let us know of your availability for late December.
Thanks,
Mrs. Martin
