Weekly Pay Range : $1,150 - $1,230 per week (estimated)

Med / Surg LPN Job Details

Location : North Chesterfield, VA 23235 (Richmond area)

Healthcare Setting : 32-bed Medical Care Unit (4 West, Main Building)

Assignment Type : Travel LPN contract

Start Date : August 11, 2025

End Date : November 10, 2025

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and major holidays required

Dress Code : Navy scrubs; closed-toe and closed-heel shoes

Med / Surg LPN Qualifications

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Virginia or compact state

Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support); ACLS not required

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg LPN experience in a hospital or clinical setting

Willingness to work weekends and holidays as assigned

Strong attendance record and reliability

Positive, outgoing attitude with excellent teamwork skills

Experience with high admission / discharge turnover preferred

Familiarity with Meditech 6.0 EMR system is a plus

Med / Surg LPN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to a diverse Med / Surg population, including cardio-pulmonary and general medical patients

Monitor patients for cardiac needs (no arrhythmia management required)

Provide care for stable COVID-19 patients as needed

Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Participate in patient admissions, discharges, and daily care activities in a fast-paced environment

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech 6.0

Float to similar level of care units or stepdown units with Med / Surg assignments as needed

Uphold unit policies and contribute to a positive, team-oriented healthcare culture
