Job descriptionA large system in Nebraska / Iowa are looking for Night PCU RN's. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience. 2 years of unit experience. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. 12 hour shifts : 0630-1830, 1830-0630. Weekend Requirements : Every third. Holiday Requirements : Rotating with perm staff. Floating Requirements : Yes to MedSurg or to ICU to take PCU acuity patients. Scrub Color / Dress code : Navy Blue. 1 week of unit / department specific orientation. WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE / SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDED. Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Adults, Cardiac med / surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, renal failure. RNs required to titrate drips : Yes. Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin. Charge Nurse on each shift : Yes, does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes. Nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit : Yes, 1 : 12 ratio.
