Dental Assistant - Part Time - Pamunkey Regional Jail

We are currently seeking a Part Time Dental Assistant and PRN Licensed Dental Assistants to join our team at Pamunkey Regional Jail located in Hanover, Virginia.

About this position :

The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing care for and treating detainees in a correctional setting. The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision, assisting the Dentist and / or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Additional responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and additional administrative tasks as needed.

Education

• Requires graduation from a nationally accredited dental assistant program.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited dental assistant program
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a dental assisting program or at least six months of experience in dental assisting
• Virginia DA license or ability to obtain
