With 400 patient beds, it is a Level IV Trauma Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center, and a leader in clinical education and innovation. Key Responsibilities : Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care across critical care units including ICU, Step-Down, and ED Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care Adapt quickly to different clinical environments, patient populations, and unit needs Cross-train across multiple specialties (with potential for additional financial incentives) Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support patient outcomes and team communication Minimum Qualifications : Current RN license in the state of Colorado (or compact license) ASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting, required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in an ICU setting, required RNs with less than 12 months of RN experience must obtain a BSN within 5 years of their start date Preferred Qualifications : 2 years nursing experience 1 year critical care experience to include ICU or ED Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (required for hires after 4 / 27 / 2025) Posting Specifics : Location : Saint Joseph Hospital – Denver, CO Shift Details : Full-time, NIGHT shifts (Shift differential available) Additional $7.00 per hour differential for Critical Care Float Pool. Relocation Assistance : May be available for qualified external candidates Required to float to all units, not limited to critical care. Physical Requirements : Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting / ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing / pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
