Role Overview :
As a Senior Software Engineer with Green Dot, you will be integral to building scalable, secure, and resilient systems that enhance our fraud detection, risk scoring, and compliance automation efforts. Your responsibilities will include :
- Developing Backend Services : Architect and create APIs that support various risk operations, including fraud detection and compliance workflows.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work alongside InfoSec, Data Science, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless performance of risk tools.
- Leading Initiatives : Take the lead on improving SLA adherence, incident management, and conducting root cause analysis.
- Enhancing System Monitoring : Implement observability and monitoring solutions to guarantee system reliability and performance.
- Mentorship : Guide junior engineers and share best practices across the risk domain.
- Stakeholder Partnership : Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert risk and compliance requirements into effective technical solutions.
- AI-Driven Environment : Operate within an AI-enhanced Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Code Production : Write, test, and deliver production-grade code independently, ensuring high quality and reliability.
- Test Strategy Leadership : Lead the planning and execution of test strategies across various testing aspects, including functional, integration, and automation.
Qualifications : Required :
5+ years of software engineering experience, including over 2 years in technical leadership, focusing on .Net and C#.Proficient in Azure Cloud technologies and experience with migrations.Strong grasp of queuing mechanisms, multithreading, and distributed computing.Familiarity with AI code assistants like GitHub Copilot.Experience in automated testing, TDD, and CI / CD pipelines, including Kubernetes / Docker.Familiarity with development tools such as VS Code, Postman, MS Azure, Jira, and Confluence.Strong skills in RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture.Understanding of risk scoring models and fraud detection systems.Expertise in security and privacy standards for handling financial data.Proficient in SQL Server and database design.Able to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment enhanced by AI workflows.Methodologies practiced : Agile, Scrum.Preferred :
Experience in fintech or risk management technology.Knowledge of operational domains like fraud case management and regulatory reporting.Active contributions to open-source projects or technical publications.Position Type : Regular
Compensation : The salary for this position ranges from $121,400 to $173,300 annually, based on qualifications, expertise, and geographic location.
