A DAY IN THE LIFE

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure long-term supply continuity of equipment for the US Consulting Segment. This role will work closely with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms and develop cost optimization strategies with operational leaders in the segment to ensure efficient utilization of owned equipment and optimal pricing for all rental equipment. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will work cross functionally with operations, business strategy, and resource management to support business continuity. This position may be based remotely within the U.S. with a preference for proximity to a Montrose office location.

Equipment & Procurement Operations :

• Ensure timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining cost control and quality standards.
• Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to support operational needs.
• Develop a deep understanding of relevant equipment technologies to scope out best use cases, business case, and eventual purchase
• Track changes in suppliers within core markets
• Lead the Equipment & Procurement Operations team
• Identify potential supply risks that could affect project delivery
• Establish standards and metrics for measuring supplier performance
• Organize and direct sourcing activities for value, quality, inventory, and delivery
• Analyze data to develop capacity planning strategies, balancing long-term business needs with supply and demand forecasting, while effectively utilizing internal tools and company resource planning systems.
