Job Summary :
- Provides assessment, treatment and education in the areas of independent living, community reintegration, functional cognitive retraining, upper extremity function, perceptual activities and assistive equipment and splinting / positioning mechanics.
- Evaluates patients, schedules and establishes appropriate treatment goals, along with anticipated outcomes, and delivers skilled physical assessments and treatments effectively.
- Delegates / supervises effectively within scope of authority to students, assistants and technicians.
- Reassesses patient's progress, revises treatment plan and modifies goals when appropriate.
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience :
One (1) year related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is required.Preferred Skills & Experience :
N / ARequired Education :
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school is required.Preferred Education :
Masters' degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred.Required Certifications & Licensure :
Current / valid state Occupational Therapist licensure is required.BLS - American Heart Association.Preferred Certifications & Licensure :
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) endorsed by the American Heart Association.
