Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide leadership and implement strategies to achieve the vision established by executive management
• Oversee laboratory project planning, resource allocation, and technical execution
• Recruit, develop, coach, and mentor testing staff
• Manage department budget, staffing, and performance metrics
• Ensure all testing practices are ethical and compliant with company and professional standards
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures
• Work with laboratory staff to establish a laboratory schedule to meet project turnaround time expectations
• Establish and maintain an efficient workflow of samples through the lab
• Ensure personnel adhere to QA procedures and training methods
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their technical needs, and provide tailored services
• Business development for the company and department through participation with Sales and Marketing teams
• Provide revenue forecasting, as needed
• Review and approve weekly timesheets and expense reports
• Follow and enforce financial policies regarding purchases and expense reports
• Continuously improve systems, policies, and procedures
• Provide annual performance reviews to all direct reports
• Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special assignments as assigned
