Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,370 per week in Albany, NY

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Progressive Critical Care Unit Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12.5 Experience : Minimum 2 years required License : Valid RN license required Certifications : ACLS required Must-Have : Epic experience required Description : The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients. Patients include those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. Nurses must be competent in caring for medical and surgical populations. Advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills, including the use of pressors per titration protocols, are required. Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, central lines, CVP, EVD, orthogonal traction, and infection prevention protocols is essential. Familiarity with high-flow nasal cannula, BiPap / Cpap, and oxygen delivery is also needed. Nurses with extensive adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience tend to perform well in this setting. The average patient load consists of three high-acuity patients. A weekend block schedule may be considered for interested candidates. A competency test is required within 48 hours of submission.
