Job Overview - Tax Manager :

Compensation : $140,000 - $160,000 / year + bonus

Location : Chester, PA

Schedule : Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Take on a high-impact role as a Tax Manager with our client in Chester, PA (Hybrid), overseeing ASC 740 provisions, SEC reporting, and tax support for M&A and international operations. This role drives reporting accuracy, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration using tools like OneSource, SAP, and BPC.

Responsibilities as the Tax Manager :

• Tax Provision Oversight : Lead quarter-end and year-end ASC 740 tax provision processes with accuracy and compliance.
• Technical Tax Analysis : Prepare or review memos on valuation allowances, unremitted earnings, and other complex tax issues.
• SEC Reporting : Draft and review tax disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings.
• Transaction Advisory : Support tax planning for mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and cross-border activity.
• Provision True-Ups : Manage federal provision-to-return true-ups and collaborate with compliance using OneSource.
• Improvement & Leadership : Drive tax process enhancements and support team training and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications for the Tax Manager :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (Master's in Taxation preferred).
• Certification : CPA preferred.
• Experience : Minimum of 7 years in tax accounting at a Big 4, regional firm, or corporate tax department, with experience in ASC 740 and supporting public company clients in multinational settings.
• Technical Skills : Proficient in OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, SAP, and BPC, with additional experience in Excel, Alteryx, and Power BI preferred.
• Skills & Attributes : Strong technical writing and communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach and proven ability to manage complex tax matters and drive process improvements.
• Industry Knowledge : Expertise in ASC 740 tax accounting, including interim reporting, purchase accounting, valuation allowances, and U.S. international tax concepts (GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, APB 23).
