Job Overview

Join a growing field services team in Charlotte as an Associate Principal specializing in Construction Materials Testing (CMT). In this role, you will lead and oversee projects from proposals through final report review, ensuring quality, technical precision, and timely delivery. You will also engage in client consulting and collaborate closely with colleagues and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management :
  • Manage multiple CMT projects, including reviewing reports and preparing proposals.
  • Support departmental profit and loss (P&L) management.
  • Mentorship :
  • Mentor and train CMT staff and junior project managers.
  • Client Engagement :
  • Lead project meetings with clients to resolve technical issues.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships while actively marketing services.
  • Collaboration :
  • Partner with internal teams on staffing and recruiting initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education :
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; CMT experience required.
  • Experience :
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience with demonstrated review and approval of technical reports.
  • Licenses :
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Senior reviewer designation at current or previous employer.
  • Skills :
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Strong client-facing, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of CMT principles and ASTM testing protocols.
  • Proven decision-making ability and technical leadership.
