Salary Range: $20-$30 per hour, based on experience

Availability & Travel: Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, as project timelines may require. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from job sites. Annual travel up to 50% and up to 2 weeks at a time may be required.

Your Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Wall Installation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional and precise installation of Architectural Wall systems, including modular furniture, partitions, and related products. You will ensure the timely and accurate assembly of office furniture, adhering to the manufacturer’s specifications and customer requirements. A strong technical background and excellent customer service skills are essential for this position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Assembly: Perform the installation of Architectural Wall Systems, including modular office furniture, partitions, and accessories, at client sites.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead a crew ranging from 2 to over 10 team members.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare the installation site by reviewing floor plans/blueprints, ensuring proper measurements, and verifying layout requirements to ensure accurate placement of components.
  • Equipment Handling: Safely transport and handle wall components, ensuring protection from damage during installation.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of wall system products and installation processes, ensuring adherence to guidelines, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all installed products for accuracy, functionality, and quality. Address any discrepancies or issues with the installation.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring that they are informed about the installation process and any required follow-up actions.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Resolve any on-site issues, providing solutions when components are damaged or if issues arise during installation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other installation technicians to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on-site, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Documentation: Complete and submit all necessary paperwork, including installation reports, product condition reports, and time logs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of finish carpentry experience OR experience in the installation of office furniture, modular systems, or related products, with specific knowledge of Architectural Wall Systems preferred.
  • Tool Experience: Experience using: miter saw, band saw, laser level, hand drill, hammer drill, tape measure, running laser level, running chalk line
  • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and installation instructions.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to consistently lift and move heavy furniture components (up to 50 lbs.), and occasionally up to 100 lbs., bend, twist, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills to address installation challenges and resolve issues on the spot.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members effectively.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols, with the ability to ensure the safety of oneself and others while on the job.
