Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,020 per week in Maryville, TN

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Labor and Delivery Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License : Active RN License Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have : Must have active RN license. Weekend coverage and call are required. Must have 1 year of EPIC experience. Floating to other units is required but only in the area of competency. No first-time travelers. Description : Responsible for triage assessments, inductions, cesareans, external versions, NSTs, circumcisions, and newborn resuscitation / stabilization. Administers magnesium sulfate and other medications as indicated. Provides care to neonates and mothers during labor and delivery. Ensures patient safety and comfort throughout the delivery process. Demonstrates competency in newborn care and stabilization. Facilitates effective communication among the healthcare team. Educates parents on discharge teaching and follow-up care. Maintains a safe and clean environment following infection control protocols. Monitors fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs during labor. Documents nursing assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record. Assists with high-risk deliveries and appropriate interventions as necessary. Participates in quality improvement initiatives as required. This position may require additional responsibilities as determined by the clinical needs of the unit. Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
