ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Evansville, Indiana.

RN - Med Surg; Additional Notes from VMS= Observation MS RN - Days - Deaconess Midtown

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour day shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM
  • 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 52 hours
  • 13-week contract assignment with weekend block availability
  • Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
  • Every other holiday rotation required
  • First to float within skillset to Deaconess Newburgh (8 miles) and potentially Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
  • 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float assignments
  • Patient ratios : Days 1 : 4-5, PMs 1 : 5-6, Nights 1 : 6-7
  • Required certifications : Current active compact license, AHA BLS, NIHSS
  • Minimum experience required : Two years of strong Med / Surg and 1 travel assignment
  • Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class completion
  • Care for 23-bed unit with cardiac, CVA / TIA, post-surgical, and various medical patients
  • Skills include cardiac cath recovery, post-surgical care, NIHSS assessments, drip management, drain management, and blood administration
  • Navy blue scrubs required with no hoodies, sweatshirts, or competing logos
  • Associate degree or certificate required
  • May require precepting of students and new hires

    This healthcare facility operates as a teaching hospital with a strong focus on medical-surgical care and observation services. The organization maintains a 23-bed unit known for its welcoming environment for travelers and excellent teamwork. The facility features experienced leadership with over 22 years of organizational tenure and maintains one of the lowest turnover rates in the hospital. The facility utilizes EPIC charting systems and provides comprehensive care for cardiac, neurological, post-surgical, and various medical patient populations.
