Experience must support Ortho (joints, spine, sports injury) and / or general surgery as priority / main experience. Description : The schedule requires 4 ten-hour days from 07 : 00 to 17 : 30 or 09 : 00 to 19 : 30. Call requirements involve 4-5 call shifts per 6-week schedule period with a 30-minute callback time. Weekday call would be from 19 : 30 to 07 : 00, and weekend call is from 07 : 00 to 07 : 00. Candidates will be reviewed clinically to determine fit. If the clinical screening is successful and meets the guidelines, the candidate will be sent to the manager for the final decision. Clinical screenings will be conducted on a case-by-case basis. The manager will interview selected candidates. The candidate may be expected to care for COVID-19 patients. The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free. The candidate must notify prior to submission of any tobacco or fragrance concerns. The candidate is required to work 2 of 3 major holidays with no time off between Christmas and New Year’s. Floating is not applicable. The candidate may be required to work weekends as needed and must be available for call. Local candidates are encouraged to apply; a lower bill rate will be offered. Candidates must have experience with EPIC charting systems. ACLS and BLS certifications are essential. No license hits will be accepted. The candidate cannot exceed 50 miles from the facility. Previous charge experience is preferred. Trauma Level I and II experience is preferred. Travel experience is required. The daily census is less than 110, with an average of 30 visits per day. There are 8 rooms in the unit, and patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support services available include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The candidate should possess skills in various surgical procedures and infection control practices. The candidate should also be familiar with emergency protocols and patient safety procedures.
