Job Description
The Architectural Project Coordinator supports the planning, design, entitlement, and pre-construction processes for new The Learning Experience (TLE) centers nationwide. This role ensures design consistency with TLE’s architectural standards while helping manage site-specific adaptations through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
This position plays a critical role in coordinating architectural reviews, managing prototype updates, and overseeing early-phase development activities—including building permits, municipal codes, and zoning compliance. The Architectural Project Coordinator is instrumental in maintaining quality, accuracy, and alignment throughout the pre-construction lifecycle.
This is a full-time, in-office position based at our World Headquarters in Deerfield Beach, Florida — remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Plan Coordination
Review and coordinate site plans and schematic designs to ensure alignment with TLE brand standards, operational requirements, and applicable codesSupport the development and maintenance of TLE’s prototype building designs by incorporating stakeholder input and jurisdictional feedbackCommunicate design directives and changes to external architects and ensure timely incorporation into final construction documentationParticipate in internal design reviews and maintain records of all plan versions and feedback through document control systemsEntitlements & Municipal Coordination
Assist in overseeing all entitlement-related processes, including building permit applications, municipal code review, zoning compliance, and related jurisdictional approvalsLiaise with developers, consultants, architects, and municipal officials to facilitate timely submissions and approvalsMonitor potential code or permitting challenges and proactively support their resolution with internal and external stakeholdersTrack entitlement milestones and maintain up-to-date reporting in company systems (e.g., Monday and internal drives)Pre-Construction Support
Coordinate key pre-construction activities and timelines, ensuring accurate input and collaboration between design, development, operations, and construction teamsMaintain project documentation and timelines, identifying and communicating potential delays or inconsistencies earlySupport stakeholder communication and ensure alignment between entitlement activities, prototype design adherence, and operational goalsQualifications
BS or BArch in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field2+ years of experience in architectural coordination, development entitlements, or pre-construction planningStrong proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and site plan drawings is essential; the ability to assess design quality, spatial layouts, and code compliance is critical to success in this roleExperience with AutoCAD LT or similar design software is highly preferred, particularly for reviewing and annotating plans and managing design iterationsSolid understanding of site planning, zoning codes, permitting processes, and municipal approvalsExceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindsetProficiency with Microsoft 365 tools; experience with Bluebeam, Monday, or Procore is a plus
