An established industrial production facility specializing in high-volume textile and uniform services is seeking a hands-on Assistant Plant Manager to join its leadership team. This role supports a 100+ year-old, fast-growing organization recognized for innovation, quality, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a driven, organized leader with a proven background in plant operations and team development within a high-throughput production or service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities, ensuring output, quality, and customer delivery standards are consistently met.
• Supervise multiple Production Supervisors and department leads across shifts to maintain workflow efficiency and accountability.
• Monitor and report on production metrics, performance, and any operational issues impacting output or service.
• Lead workforce planning, including hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management for production teams.
• Coach and mentor supervisors and team members to build internal talent and prepare staff for promotion opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, labor laws, and company policies), ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, logistics, and customer service teams to resolve operational challenges quickly.
• Manage labor costs and production budgets, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external clients to uphold service quality and resolve any escalated issues.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement through proactive problem-solving, workflow optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
