About The Position

Description :

Performs and interprets designated laboratory procedures.

Conducts serologic, chemical, bacteriologic, immunohematologic (blood bank), and microscopic procedures to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Executes accurate testing on laboratory specimens according to established protocols and procedures.

Reports results in a timely manner.

Troubleshoots instruments, equipment, reagents, and patient specimen problems using standard laboratory techniques.

Performs laboratory quality control, including reporting discrepancies and troubleshooting as required.

Assures quality results / products for use by clinicians and patients.

Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and calibrations on instruments to meet quality requirements.

Implements verification tests on new products, instruments, and procedures, including comparisons and statistical analysis.

Engages in quality audit data collection, technical policy development, and inspection assistance under the direction of laboratory management.

Maintains workflow in the clinical laboratory through proficiency in testing and maintaining work areas and inventory management.

Assists in training and orienting new associates.

Promotes mission, vision, and values while abiding by service behavior standards.

Performs other duties as assigned.
