Who we are looking for

We are seeking a strategic and business-minded Intellectual Property Counsel who can bridge innovation and protection across Re : Builds diverse engineering and manufacturing ecosystem. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of patent strategy prosecution and portfolio managementcoupled with the skill to transform intricate technologies into a competitive edge. You are as comfortable advising engineers and product leaders on invention capture as you are counseling executives on market positioning risk and IP monetization.

You thrive in fast-paced collaborative environments balancing rigor with creativity to shape frameworks that enable responsible innovation in areas like AI automation and advanced manufacturing. With a combination of technical fluency commercial insight and practical judgment youll help safeguard Re : Builds most valuable assetsits ideas technologies and peoplewhile empowering teams to innovate boldly and confidently.

What you get to do

Plan and implement detailed intellectual property strategies in alignment with Re : Builds manufacturing and innovation goals

• Build and manage global patent portfolio to support business expansion and competitive positioning
• Provide strategic IP guidance to senior leadership on product development market entry and business transactions
• Lead brainstorming sessions with R&D and engineering teams to uncover and seize high-value innovations
• Review and approve patent applications office action responses and prosecution strategies to ensure quality and alignment with business goals

New Product Development Support : Develop frameworks to support and accelerate responsible innovation

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with engineering R&D product development and manufacturing teams to integrate IP considerations into innovation processes

Contract Negotiation & Licensing : Draft review and negotiate IP-related agreements including licensing deals joint development agreements and technology transfer contracts

Litigation Support & Enforcement

Salary range : $200K-225K plus Bonus and Long-Term Incentive Plan
