Duties :
- Provide timely second-level hardware and software support to agency employees both at 28 Liberty and the downstate New York regional offices
- Support all aspects of the hardware device lifecycle management
- Participate in the rollout of agency-wide hardware / software initiatives
- Maintain tickets in the ServiceNow ticket tracking database. Update calls with actions and resolutions as necessary
- Assist with asset inventory tracking, including office site visits, reviewing Warehouse stock and updating the asset database information
- Conduct hardware and application testing and troubleshooting as needed
- Develop technical user and IT documentation

Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionCustomer service experienceStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExperience installing, testing and troubleshooting computer hardwareDesktop / mobile / hardware support including experience troubleshooting, configuring and installing workstation equipment and desktop software.Manage and update user ticket requests in the ServiceNow ticketing system.Interface directly with users or over the phone / email to resolve issues and fulfill requests.Preferred Education & Experience :
High School Diploma, Technical Degree / Certificate Program, Bachelors DegreeProbably a minimum 2 - 3 years of IT experience working as a desktop support technician would be preferred.Familiarity with the Windows 10 / 11 environment, MS O365 and ServiceNow would be ideal.Miscellaneous Information
Hours : M-F preferred 9am-5pm but can be flexible with a shift somewhere between the hours of 8am-6pm.No free parking available at the worksite location.Office is accessible by 2, 3, 4, 5 (Wall St) J and Z (Broad St) subway lines.Interviews : Conducted Virtually.Some informal knowledge sharing and training on team processes / procedures will be done during onboarding to get up to speed, but it's expected the candidate will have the necessary technical skills prior to being hired.The Nexus Staff Difference :
