Senior Network Engineer (6+ yrs exp)

Think Tank is a woman-owned small business with more than 27 years of proven success delivering exceptional IT and consulting services to the federal government. We are currently seeking an ideal candidate for the position of Senior Network Engineer (6+ yrs exp) to support a high-impact staff augmentation project with Fairfax County, Virginia. This position is conditional upon contract award expected in September / October 2025. Résumé of successful candidate(s) will be included with our proposal. The requirements are as follows :

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, VPN, SD-WAN / WAN / MAN / SDN); Configure and install (physical and VM based) software, servers, routers, firewalls and other network devices; Monitor network performance and integrity; Tier 3 Support - Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure; Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness; Professional certifications are preferred (e.g.
• CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, etc.); Solid background in network administration and architecture in a wired and wireless enterprise infrastructure leveraging MPLS, VLAN, VRFs, and VxLAN; In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP / IP) and routing protocols (e.g.
• BGP, OSPF); Familiarity with access control models and network security; Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl); Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g.
• SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.); Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS); Sharp troubleshooting skills; Ability to work independently or within a group.
