Position Overview :
The Lease Accounting Manager is responsible for the administration and payments of all leases and subleases for the company. This includes assisting with the Lease Management System, reviewing and approving lease payments and reconciliations, as well as supporting time-sensitive requests. The Lease Accounting Manager will also collaborate across multiple teams within Dutch Bros as well as third parties as needed.
Job Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, preferred
- Five plus years in progressive accounting department experience with at least three years in corporate lease administration, required
Location Requirement :
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Key Result Areas (KRAs) :
Monthly processing of rents out of Lucernex including a reconciliation to GL systemMonthly processing of sublet rents out of Lucernex including reconciliation to GL systemCoordination with Accounts Payable to ensure timely remittance of paymentsCoordinating monthly ACH transactions for timely paymentMonthly maintenance and reconciliation of rent-related GL accounts, including subleases, CAMS, real estate taxes, insurance, utilities, etc.Communicate and coordinate with Legal team on execution of new leasesUpdate and maintain new leases in Lucernex, including reporting as neededPrepare and process property tax payments as appropriate for each of our leased locationsPreparing / providing audit support as requestedPreparing state apportionment schedules for rent and sublet rent componentsComprehension of ASC 842 and application for reporting and posting of monthly journal entriesMust be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetingsOther duties as assignedSkills :
