Job Overview – Senior Valuation Manager (Alternative Investments) :

Join our client’s investment team as a Senior Valuation Manager (Alternative Investments) in Chicago, IL (Hybrid), overseeing valuation processes for private market investments. This role is ideal for a finance professional with expertise in investment valuations, financial reporting, and alternative assets. You will lead valuation reviews, refine methodologies, and collaborate across teams to support accurate financial decision-making and compliance.

Compensation : $130,000 – $150,000 / year + bonus

Location : Chicago, IL

Schedule : Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Principal (Investment Valuation) :

• Valuation Oversight : Conduct quarterly valuations of illiquid securities across the capital structure.
• Audit & Compliance : Lead valuation audits, third-party reviews, and regulatory inquiries.
• Portfolio Analysis & Reporting : Prepare valuation materials and perform portfolio analyses.
• Strategic Valuation Leadership : Serve as the firm’s expert on valuation methodologies and best practices.
• Training & Development : Guide and train investment professionals on valuation preparation.
• Technology & Data Management : Enhance iLevel reporting and ensure seamless data integration.
