Pay Rate : $28 – $32 / hr

Shift Information : Monday–Friday, 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 PM (1st shift) with some on-call overtime

Job Summary :

The Maintenance Technician provides essential support to facility operations by performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and light construction tasks. Working as part of a small, hands-on team, this role ensures the safety, functionality, and upkeep of building systems and equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

Conduct routine inspections , diagnose potential problems, and perform repairs as needed.

Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

Complete assigned work orders and track progress through CMMS or equivalent systems.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations , including fire extinguisher and exit sign checks.

Conduct light painting, patching, and general building upkeep .

Escort vendors and contractors when necessary.

Support energy management and ensure building systems operate efficiently.

Required Experience :

3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience.

Proven ability to perform general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and troubleshooting tasks.

Experience in industrial, commercial, or building maintenance environments preferred.

Nice-to-Have Experience :

Experience using CMMS systems.

HVAC maintenance or troubleshooting experience.

Pro-press and spackling skills.

OSHA 10 or boom / scissor lift certification (preferred).

Required Skills :

Basic troubleshooting , lockout / tagout, and safety procedures.

Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

Preferred Skills :

Preventive maintenance planning.

HVAC and advanced plumbing repair.

Light carpentry and painting.

Equipment installation and inspection documentation.

Additional Skills :

Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

Flexibility for occasional on-call overtime .

Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset.

Education :

High school diploma or GED required.

Trade school or vocational training preferred.

2nd round in-person interview with facility tour
