The position involves providing care to a diverse patient population primarily in a medical-surgical setting. Candidates should be flexible with scheduling and understand the commitment to punctuality and attendance. The role requires interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, as well as the use of rapid response teams. Nurses in this role will provide care for patients with various diagnoses, including respiratory conditions and diabetes. Expected patient ratios are 1 : 5-6. Floating between campuses may be required as needed. Candidates should possess strong skills in peripheral line care management and oxygen administration. Experience with non-invasive airway management and telemetry monitoring is essential. Nurses should demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care. Having the ability to manage various medical equipment and provide wound care is also important. All candidates must pass an EKG exam as part of the compliance process. Study materials for the EKG exam are not provided, so preparation is necessary. Successful candidates will join an interdisciplinary team that includes various support services.
