Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Med-Surg / Telemetry Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 2 years required License : Valid state license required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC preferred Must-Have : - Meditech experience required - Float required : First to float to med-surg / ED for in-patient holds / ICU floor status patients - Ability to care for Med-Surg / Telemetry patients in the assigned areas Description : Meditech experience is required without exceptions. Every other weekend is required, which could adjust to every third weekend depending on staffing needs. First-time travelers are accepted. All time off requests must be submitted at the time of application. The unit has a capacity of 23 beds. It is a progressive care unit that treats post-op cardiac patients. When floated to the emergency department, staff will care for emergency department inpatient holds. When in the ICU, staff will care for progressive care patients or Med-Surg / Telemetry patients. Staff will never manage ICU or emergency department status patients. The patient ratio is 5 patients per nurse, both days and nights. The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patients generally present with post-cath lab, cardiac, stroke, trauma, and general medical diagnoses. Staff may manage various medical procedures and equipment, such as blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, and central line care.
