Laborer / Fitter / Welder
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Laborer, Fitter or Welder position requires a willingness to learn, accountability, reliable attendance and effort. The position is tied to continuing education and learning different trades to continue to grow in your role within the company.
ESSESNTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be responsible for observing all safety rules and regulations
Tools and equipment utilized but not limited to : welding equipment, cutting equipment, standard hand tools, pneumatic / power tools, drill press, milling machine, lathe, hoists, forklift, hydraulic lift tables, basic carpenter tools, metal shearer, basic mechanical tools, man lift, electric meters / PLC
REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Ability to work flexible hours in a 24 / 7 manufacturing operation
Ability to participate on teams in safety, quality, and process improvement
Must be able to pass a drug test
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to reach, bend, lift, and push objects weighing 3-75 lbs. on a continuous basis for the duration of the shift.
Ability to carry / transport material with the dimensions of : 12”x12”, 25”x25”, 3’ length, and 9’ length
Standing : Constantly (up to 100% of workday)
Walking : Constantly (up to 100% of workday)
Bending and Twisting : Constantly (up to 100% of workday)
Temperature Extremes (percent of time working in non-climate controlled, production environment) : Occasionally (up to 60% of workday)
Noise (percent of time working in loud, production environment) : Constantly (up to 100% of workday)
