Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Location : West Union, IA 52175 (Iowa nursing jobs)

Facility Type : 25-bed Critical Access Hospital

Unit : OB (Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : September 22, 2025

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (4 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM)

Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend, rotating holidays

Float Requirements : May float to Med / Surg as needed

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1990-$2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in WI or compact state (Iowa RN license accepted)

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required

Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Minimum 2 years of recent OB / Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Experience in Critical Access Hospital and Med / Surg settings required

Epic charting experience preferred

Must begin medical compliance process within 48 hours of offer acceptance (24 hours for quick start)

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients in a low-risk OB setting

Monitor and assess mothers and newborns, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the birthing process

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care

Float to Med / Surg unit as needed, supporting a diverse patient population

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic (preferred)

Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled

Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
