Job Details :

• 12-hour orientation provided
• Patient ratio of 6 : 1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients
• Weekend coverage required with every other holiday worked
• Can be floated to all other inpatient units (agency nurses are first to be pulled)
• No specific scheduling requests can be guaranteed (no block scheduling)
• Must be available for "Emergency Team" assignments during emergency events
• 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Must be over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Compact or Louisiana license required upon submittal
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, telemetry interpretation and management
• Care for patients with chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, hypertension, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, and syncope
• Handle med-surg overflow patients including GI bleed, sepsis, CVA, and COVID positive cases
• Perform pre / post cardiac catheterization care, pacemaker / AICD procedures, ablations, and vascular surgeries
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, and heparin
• Perform bedside sheath removal procedures
• Work with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, and wound vacs
• Manage ports, blood product administration, central / peripheral / PICC line care, IV starts, and wound care
