Job description

Summary of Duties :

Expertise in automotive sensors and electronic control systems design, operation, and troubleshooting. Responsible for designing, developing, and programming C code (MISRA-C) control systems for our golf carts, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Familiarity with CAN buss communication and vehicle electronic control units (ECUs). Familiarity with AC and DC motors, battery management systems, lighting circuits, sensor circuits, LED displays, Bluetooth, GPS, touchscreen controls, and pneumatics is required.

Requirements :

  • Experience with electrical and mechanical sensors
  • Experience with vehicular ECU design and programming

Core Skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
  • Experience in CAD design and AutoCAD software 2D and 3D.
  • Experience designing and value-engineering electric vehicle control systems, focusing on sensor integration and performance optimization within embedded systems.
  • Program and implement software solutions using C, C++ (MISRA-C) for control algorithms and system diagnostics.
  • Define system requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems, including sensors and controllers, to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems and components.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in automotive electronics and control systems.
  • Prepare documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and user manuals.
  • Ability to communicate in English clearly and directly, and build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to differentiate between colors.
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to identify conflicts in complex designs, and to foresee how designs will impact manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to coach co-workers in how to interpret drawings.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees.

    • License : A valid California driver's license is required.

    Physical Requirements :

    Strength to perform average lifting up to 35 pounds and occasionally over 70 pounds; the agility, equilibrium and coordination as required when climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and balancing under precarious conditions; arm, hand and finger dexterity; good eyesight and color perception.
