Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resectionsCervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeriesPatients experiencing hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, as part of our Comprehensive Stroke ProgramHigh volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow casesAs a member of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII), you'll be exposed to the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.

Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan individual interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness.Anticipate and respond to significant changes in patient conditions and needs.Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and readiness to learn.Actively coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach.Promote a culture of safety by identifying and addressing threats to patient safety.Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance departmental functions and patient experiences.Requirements :
Licensure : Registered Nurse license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Education : Completion of an accredited nursing program.Experience : Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Proficient in holistic patient care with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to make critical independent decisions in a timely manner.Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.Physical Requirements :
