Founded in 2010, All About Therapy specializes in occupational and speech therapy services for children from birth to through age 17 with a wide range of diagnoses and abilities. Our Mission is to work with children with developmental delays and special needs to create beneficial outcomes that otherwise might not be possible. Our therapists go to wherever the child is, whether they are at home, school, daycare or various other settings for their services. We place a high emphasis on close collaboration with families, teachers and school administrators to ensure each child reaches their highest potential. We work with each childs pediatrician and community agencies to provide care that is cohesive and an effective continuum of their care.
Position Summary
We are seeking an outgoing, detail-oriented Medical Insurance Billing Specialist to join our pediatric therapy practice team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the insurance billing and revenue cycle of our practice. In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with patient families to ensure continuous and smooth services. This is a remote opportunity as the Medical Insurance Billing Insurance will be working from their home office, preferably in the Raleigh-Cary-Apex area. Must have a high-speed internet connection, computer and office equipment will be provided.
Key Responsibilities :
- Submit and track insurance claims for speech and occupational therapy services
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations as needed
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit corrections promptly
- Work directly with insurance companies and families to resolve billing issues
- Maintain accurate patient and insurance records in our billing software
- Provide regular reports on claim status, aging accounts, and reimbursements
- Stay updated on insurance policies, CPT codes, and billing guidelines specific to pediatric therapy
- Support the of onboarding new therapists (i.e. insurance credentialing, etc.)
Qualifications :
2+ years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a pediatric or therapy settingKnowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, EOBs, and insurance guidelinesFamiliarity with private insurance, Medicaid, and managed care plansStrong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesProficiency in billing softwareHigh school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing a plusRequired Knowledge and Experience
Must have 1+ years of experience in a Medical office or related healthcare experienceMust have experience professionally handling phone calls with patients, family members, doctor offices and therapists (or similar)Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently; bilingual (Spanish) preferredCandidate should enjoy juggling a lot of tasks at one timeAble to prioritize and re-prioritize on an ongoing basisAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organizational and time management skillsHas experience working with cloud based applications and an interest in using technology in your work to be more efficientGood communication skillsWhat We Offer :
