Position Overview

The Preconstruction Manager oversees the planning and execution of preconstruction activities for a variety of projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are set up for success through thorough planning, budgeting, and coordination with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preconstruction process for commercial projects including retail, office buildings, schools, churches, and warehouses.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to define project scope and requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules and timelines during the preconstruction phase.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform project planning.
  • Review and analyze project documents to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction management or a similar role within the commercial construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software and cost estimating tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
