Department Overview
At Samaritan, our Rehabilitation teams are dedicated to evaluating and treating patients facing injuries or conditions that impact their self-care, physical mobility, or functional independence. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including hand therapy, upper extremity splinting, wheelchair assessments, home safety assessments, cognitive therapy, neurological therapy, and oncology rehab. Enjoy continuity of care by following patients from initial evaluation to discharge while collaborating with other healthcare professionals.Experience / Education / Qualifications
A current unencumbered Occupational Therapist license in Oregon is required.Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.For LCH Occupational Therapy : If your role involves home visits, a successful Criminal Records Check per OAR 333-027-0064 will be necessary upon hire and every three years thereafter.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Possess comprehensive knowledge of therapy and counseling principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating physical and cognitive conditions. You should be capable of providing guidance and support.Exhibit strong business writing skills, ensuring that clinical documentation is communicated professionally and comprehensively.Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills to clarify complex information, ensuring a seamless exchange among team members.Ability to foster teamwork in a multi-disciplinary setting, developing and maintaining constructive working relationships over time.Exhibit excellent time management skills to prioritize and plan work effectively, adapting to a fast-paced environment.Physical Demands
