Job Summary
Virginia Mason Medical Center (VMMC) seeks a full‑time, board‑eligible or board‑certified Colorectal Surgeon to join our surgical team in Seattle, Washington. This role offers a broad and challenging surgical practice encompassing the full spectrum of colorectal disease.
Position Overview
As a colorectal surgeon at VMMC, you will be part of an experienced, high‑performing team at a quaternary care center that is committed to delivering high‑quality, compassionate, and comprehensive care for patients with colorectal diseases and disorders.
You will also participate in the education of medical students, residents, fellows, as well as in clinical research and multidisciplinary care teams including colorectal cancer, IBD, and pelvic floor disorders.

While all applications are welcome, special consideration will be given to candidates with recent publications in peer‑reviewed journals, and who hold leadership positions or are very active in national surgical societies. A track record of leadership resulting in the growth of a program’s volume and visibility would also be particularly attractive.
