Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details

Location : Lillington, NC 27546 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)

Facility Type : Short-term acute care hospital, 2 East Med / Surg Telemetry Unit

Assignment Type : Travel RN contract

Start Date : December 29, 2025

End Date : March 30, 2026

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shift : Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratio : 1 : 5-6

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Guaranteed Hours : All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 shift call-offs per 13-week assignment

Float Requirement : May float within hospital or to sister campus (Betsy Johnson Regional)

Charting System : Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (state of North Carolina or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications

Proficiency with Epic charting system

Advanced EKG exam required for compliance

Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed

Travel nurses only : Locals not accepted within a 50-mile radius

Must be away from facility for 1 year to return as a travel RN

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response / code teams

Administer medications, blood products, and manage central and peripheral lines

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology

Document patient care using Epic EMR

Float to similar units or sister campus as needed to support patient care

Participate in orientation and complete required modules prior to start
