Interventional Cardiologist, South Shore University Hospital

Overview

Northwell Health’s Department of Cardiology is seeking a full time BE / BC Interventional Cardiologist to join the cardiac team at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, New York.

Candidates should have demonstrated training and expertise in coronary and structural heart interventions. Both early-career and seasoned interventional cardiologists are encouraged to apply.

About the program

South Shore University Hospital is a tertiary care cardiac program performing all aspects of cardiovascular medical, interventional, and surgical care. The interventional program offers diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including high-risk PCI, CTO interventions, temporary MCS, peripheral vascular interventions, pulmonary embolism care, and more. The hospital maintains a robust structural heart program with high-volume PFO / ASD closures, TAVRs, and percutaneous mitral and tricuspid valve interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive interventional cardiology services for adult patients, including complex coronary and structural interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team to deliver integrated care.
• Participate in high-volume procedures and contribute to program growth at South Shore University Hospital and affiliated sites.
• Engage in academic activities as appropriate, including possible appointment with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell.
• Contribute to teaching, quality improvement, and research initiatives within the department.

Compensation and Benefits

Physicians earn a competitive salary with a supportive benefits package. An academic appointment with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell is commensurate with credentials and experience. Physicians are employed as members of Northwell Physician Partners.
