Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Burlington, Vermont 05401

Assignment Length : 16-26 weeks

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : June 14, 2026

Shift : 12-hour night shifts

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

On-Site Position

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,100 - $2,250

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience in a large, teaching hospital

Previous travel nursing experience required

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont or compact state

Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (must be obtained prior to start)

Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)

Ability to work every other weekend and 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)

Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation available)

Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November through April

Med / Surg Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to neurosurgical and surgical patients on the M5 / McClure 5 unit

Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding quickly to changes in patient condition

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Accurately document patient interactions and interventions in Epic EMR

Participate in bi-weekly orientation sessions and ongoing professional development

Maintain schedule flexibility to meet unit and patient care needs

Ensure all work history information is complete for submission (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.)
