Hybrid : Columbia, Maryland Pay : $18 / HR

The Bilingual (English and Spanish) Call Center Representative is a key member of the back-office support team for our Automated Traffic Safety Enforcement program. The ideal candidate will be able to provide a variety of customer service and clerical duties in a fast-paced office environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : answering inbound calls, verifying violation images, validating vehicle information, processing and assisting with payments, and data entry.

This position requires a high degree of efficiency, dependability, reliability, and accountability. These individuals will be taking calls from citizens who have received a notice about a parking violation. Provides one-stop resolution and education to the public on programs and services. Responsible for timely and accurate handling of calls and information, including incoming calls, documents, data entry, scheduling, and mailings. Displays a positive, professional, and empathetic customer-focused approach. Utilizes tools and online resources to be confident and competent in the delivery of accurate information while navigating through multiple computer applications proficiently. Maintains programs and technical knowledge related to services for each client. Exhibits effective communication skills tailored to each audience. Able to document public interactions clearly and concisely.

Additional Skills & Qualifications : Fluent in English and Spanish is a requirement. High school diploma or GED. 2 years of customer service experience with a minimum of 1 year of inbound call center experience in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with varying personalities and defuse sensitive situations under pressure. Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Minimum of 30-35 words per minute typing skills. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to perform word processing, database maintenance, and accounting functions, including system updates and some troubleshooting.

Office hours are 9 AM-6 PM.

Job Type & Location : This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, MD.

Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
