Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Otolaryngology

Job Description : Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our Otolaryngology team in the Inpatient department. In this role, you will work closely with our renowned Otolaryngologists to provide comprehensive care to patients with ear, nose, and throat conditions requiring inpatient management. The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic conditions, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform comprehensive health assessments on inpatients with otolaryngological conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Provide patient education and counseling on treatment plans and management.
• Monitor patients' progress, manage complications, and make appropriate referrals as needed.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care discussions.
• Serve as a resource and educator for nursing staff, residents, and medical students.

Salary Range : Minimum 53.15 per hour - Maximum 82.38 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
