Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH) - NYC Territory

Business Development Liaison

$10,000 Sign-on Bonus

Annual Salary Range : $75,000 - $110,000 plus uncapped monthly bonus incentives. (Starting salary relates to years of relevant work experience)

A day in the life

You'll advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals through fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, you'll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care.

Responsibilities

What a Business Development Liaison Does

You'll be a champion of The Select Medical Way, which includes : putting the patient first, helping to improve quality of life for the community in which you live and work, developing and exploring new ideas, providing high-quality care, and doing well by doing what is right.

Key Responsibilities :

You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.

Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.

Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.

Qualifications

What we're looking for in a Business Development Liaison

Required Skills :

Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License.

Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.

Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

Willing to commute to New York City three days per week and to Northern New Jersey two days per week

Must have a car for daily travel requirements

Preferred skills that will make you a successful Clinical Liaison :

Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.

Superior communication and relationship-building skills.

Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.
