Job descriptionUPMC is hiring for an LPN in our Foot and Ankle office in Wellsboro. This is a full-time position on day shift. Hours are Monday-Friday from 7 : 45am-4 : 15pm, 8am-4 : 30pm or 8 : 30am-5pm. Candidates may be expected to float between multiple offices. This position is eligible for a generous sign-on bonus listed below : Sign-On Bonus Details : $7,500 sign-on bonus available for nurses with over one year of experience $5,000 sign-on bonus available for Graduate Nurses and nurses with less than one year of experience Responsibilities : Draw blood. Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip. Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments. Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight. Comply with all policies and procedures. Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse. Document all activities / interventions, patient / family responses, medication dispensed / prescribed, etc., in the medical record. Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice / instructions.
Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. One year clinical experience preferred.
- Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Act 34
